Built by podiatrists who understand the work behind the work.
geniusDPM grew from a simple realization: Being a great podiatrist and building a great practice are two very different jobs.
Clinical training teaches us how to care for patients. Practice ownership asks us to become leaders, entrepreneurs, decision-makers, communicators, coaches, and builders, often without ever teaching us how.
geniusDPM exists to help close that gap.

A better practice should create a better life.
Practice ownership can create extraordinary opportunity. It can also consume enormous amounts of attention, energy, and time.
geniusDPM was created around the belief that success should not require choosing between a thriving practice and a fulfilling life.
Better practices create stronger leaders. Stronger leaders create stronger teams. Stronger teams create better experiences. And better-designed practices create more possibility for everyone involved.
Build a better practice by building better people.
There’s more baked into our name than you might think.

geniusDPM grew from podiatry, our fascination with how people do their best work, and a simple approach to making progress.
Define what actually matters. Plan what happens next. Measure what worked. Then refine and repeat.
That’s DPM. A practical rhythm for turning better thinking into better action.
We learned it by doing it.
geniusDPM was not created in a classroom or developed from business theory alone. It grew from decades spent treating patients, building practices, leading teams, making mistakes, solving problems, creating systems, teaching colleagues, and asking how the work could be done better.

Matthew Dairman, DPM
Matthew brings the perspective of a podiatrist, practice owner, entrepreneur, educator, coach, and creator. He has spent much of his career looking for patterns, questioning assumptions, and turning complicated ideas into practical frameworks people can use.
His geniusDPM work reflects that same instinct: see what others may miss, make the complex simpler, and turn insight into action.

Chris Milkie, DPM
Chris brings the perspective of a podiatrist, practice owner, entrepreneur, educator, and coach. His approach combines practical experience with the ability to challenge assumptions, ask useful questions, and help practice owners move from conversation to meaningful action.
His geniusDPM work reflects that same practicality: challenge the conventional, focus on what matters, and help turn better thinking into meaningful action.
Together, Matthew and Chris bring different perspectives to the same goal: helping practice owners, leaders, and teams build better practices and better lives.
Better questions create better possibilities.
geniusDPM coaching helps podiatrists see their practice, leadership, decisions, systems, and opportunities more clearly, then translate that clarity into action. Rather than prescribing answers, we help people see what they may be missing, think better about what matters, and turn insight into action. The work begins by seeing more clearly.
- What is actually happening?
- What are you assuming?
- What are you not seeing?
- What matters most right now?
- What could become possible if something changed?
Coaching creates space to think. Frameworks make complexity easier to see. Community introduces perspectives you could not create alone. Education gives useful ideas somewhere to go.
The goal isn’t to create dependence on geniusDPM. It’s to help people become better thinkers, owners, and leaders.
CARPE is more than what we value. It’s how we participate.
The best communities are not built around what people can take from them. They are built around what people bring to them.
CARPE describes how we want to show up for our work and for one another.
C — Community
A — Accountability
R — Reciprocity
P — Proficiency
E — Execution
Community
Community
We get better together. The room becomes more valuable when people bring their experiences, questions, challenges, ideas, and perspective to it.
Accountability
Accountability
We own what is ours to own. Progress begins with taking responsibility for our choices, commitments, leadership, and next actions.
Reciprocity
Reciprocity
We contribute, not just consume. The value of a community grows when people are willing to give perspective, experience, encouragement, challenge, and support as readily as they receive it.
Proficiency
Proficiency
We get better at what matters. Mastery is never finished. We stay curious, learn, practice, measure, and continually improve our ability to do the work well.
Execution
Execution
Ideas matter when they become action. Insight without movement changes very little. We turn useful thinking into experiments, decisions, behaviors, and results.
Better is bigger than the practice.
Revenue matters. Profitability matters. Systems, teams, patient experience, and performance matter. But they are not the entire point.
A better practice can create more time.
More choice.
More confidence.
More capacity.
More presence.
More opportunity to do meaningful work without allowing the work to consume everything else.
That is why geniusDPM talks about building better practices and better lives.
The practice matters. So does the person building it.
Different ways to build better.
geniusDPM brings its thinking to individual podiatrists, practice owners, leaders, and teams through frameworks, coaching, community, and education. We offer both individual coaching and coaching for entire practices.
